About this trip

How the 3N/4D actually goes

  1. Day 0: Bangalore | The Journey Begins

    Board your AC Tempo Traveller / Mini Bus this evening for the overnight drive from Bangalore to Coimbatore. Settle in for a comfortable night on the road, with music, easy conversation and fellow travelers as the city lights fade into the hills. Wake up refreshed as the misty hills and tea gardens of the Nilgiris come into view, ready for the days of exploring ahead.

  2. Day 1: Coimbatore | Temple Trails & the Adiyogi

    Arrive in Coimbatore, known as the 'Manchester of South India,' and check into your hotel for some time to freshen up. Visit the Shri Marudhamalai Hill Temple, the Shri Linga Bhairavi Temple at the Isha Yoga Center, and the towering 112-foot Adiyogi Shiva Statue. As dusk settles over the Coimbatore plains and temple bells echo in the distance, return to your hotel for a hearty South Indian dinner.

  3. Day 2: Coonoor | Viewpoints & Tea Country

    After an early breakfast, check out and drive to the charming hill station of Coonoor. Visit the Dolphin's Nose Viewpoint and walk through the Coonoor Tea Gardens. If seasonal availability permits, hop aboard a short stretch of the heritage Nilgiri Mountain toy train — subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. By late evening, arrive in the mist-kissed hills of Ooty and check into your hotel to unwind amid the cool mountain air.

  4. Day 3: Ooty | Peaks, Tea & Lake Views

    After breakfast, set out to explore Ooty's best-loved sights — Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiris, a working Tea Factory & Chocolate Museum, and Ooty Lake. Spend the rest of the day soaking in Ooty's scenic beauty and pleasant weather, then begin the overnight journey back to Bangalore, carrying with you the misty charm of the Nilgiris.
